Why does it take so long to get a response sometimes?

Reasons why Magai might appear slower than ChatGPT when it comes to generating responses

Written by Vilnie Agustin

Magai can sometimes feel slower than chatting in a native app like ChatGPT. That is expected. Magai is not a single-model ChatGPT wrapper — it routes your prompt to whichever model you selected (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others), then returns the result in Magai.

  1. The selected model's servers: Magai forwards your prompt to the provider for the model you picked. That extra hop, plus load on that provider, can add a little time compared with using the same model in its native app.

  2. Request size and complexity: Long prompts, large attachments, image/video generations, and models with higher multipliers take longer. A short chat reply on a fast model is quicker than a long research answer or a video job.

If a generation stalls, stop it and try a shorter prompt, a different model, or check your connection. Magai currently includes 74 models — response time depends on which one you use, not on ChatGPT alone.
