Welcome to our comprehensive walkthrough of Magai's image generation capabilities. This guide will help you navigate the features available for creating, editing, and manipulating AI-generated images in Magai.
Accessing the Image Editor
Getting started with image generation in Magai is simple:
From your dashboard, locate and click the "Generate Image" button.
This takes you to the dedicated image editor interface.
The editor will display your previously generated image, allowing you to continue where you left off.
The left panel contains your prompt input field and various customization options.
Selecting Your AI Model
One of the first decisions is which AI model to use:
Click the model selection button below the input field.
Browse the available image and video models.
Each listing shows the model name, capabilities (text-to-image, image-to-image, text-to-video, or image-to-video), and usage multiplier.
Model names change. For the current list, context limits, and multipliers, see Which AI models does Magai have access to? Magai currently includes 74 models. Do not treat older walkthrough names such as Flux 1.1 Pro, DALL·E 3, or named Flux 2 variants as the live catalog.
Model strengths
Each model has different strengths — photorealism, illustration, design, video, and image-to-image. Pick from the live picker rather than a static table. Some image and video models require an attachment before the prompt box will accept text.
Customizing Your Generation Settings
After selecting your model, you can further customize generation:
Basic Settings
Size: Choose aspect ratio (square, portrait, or landscape).
Style: Apply preset artistic styles (options vary by model).
Sub-model selection: Some models offer specialized versions.
Advanced Options
Click "Advanced Options" to access:
Negative Prompt: Specify elements you want to exclude.
Seed: Use a specific seed to create similar-styled images.
Image Upload: For image-to-image models, add a reference image.
Strength: Control how much influence the reference image has.
The Prompt Enhanced Feature
Creating effective image prompts can be challenging, so Magai offers Enhance:
Type your simple prompt in the input field.
Click the Enhance button.
The AI elaborates your prompt with subject, setting, and style detail.
Review it and adjust as needed.
You can undo, retry, or clear the enhancement.
Image Editing Tools
Inpainting
Inpainting lets you modify specific parts of an image:
Click the inpainting tool.
Your cursor becomes a brush.
Paint over the area you want to change.
Describe what you want in that area.
Generate the change.
Video generation
Magai also includes video models for text-to-video and image-to-video. Names and multipliers change — use the live model picker or the models article above. Some video models require an attached starting image before you can type a prompt.
Tips for Getting the Best Results
Experiment with different models in the live picker.
Use Enhance to add detail to simple prompts.
Save your favorite prompts for reuse.
Use inpainting for minor adjustments rather than regenerating entire images.
