Uploading Knowledge to Workspaces in Magai: A Step-by-Step Guide

Learn how to upload and manage documents in your Magai Workspace to give your AI custom knowledge.

Written by Paul Gaurano

Workspaces can hold their own knowledge files and custom context so chats in that workspace can use them.

Open workspace settings

  1. Log in at app.magai.co.

  2. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left.

  3. Open the Workspace dropdown.

  4. In Switch Workspace, hover the workspace you want and click the settings (sliders) icon. Do not click the trash icon next to it. That deletes the workspace.

The edit dialog is titled with your workspace name. You can change the name, upload a logo, edit Custom Context, manage members, and upload knowledge files.

Add knowledge files

  1. In Knowledge Files, drag and drop files or click Choose Files.

  2. Uploaded files appear under Uploaded Files. You can view, download, or remove each one.

  3. Click Save Changes.

Custom Context

Use the Custom Context field in the same dialog to tell Magai how to use those files (for example, tone, when to cite them, or what to ignore).

Use it in chat

Chats in that workspace can use the uploaded files and custom context. If answers ignore the files, check Custom Context and that the files are still listed under Uploaded Files.
