Enhancing productivity and efficiency with AI’s assistance has never been simpler, thanks to Magai's feature that allows uploading custom knowledge to Workspaces. This empowers the AI to deliver more context-aware and accurate outputs. Follow this step-by-step guide to set it up correctly.
Step 1: Understanding Workspaces
Workspaces in Magai serve as dedicated environments tailored to specific projects or topics. Each Workspace can have its own set of knowledge documents, allowing the AI to draw relevant information specific to that domain.
Step 2: Accessing the Knowledge Upload Feature
Log into Magai: Start by logging into your Magai account. Knowledge upload is only available to authenticated users.
Open the Dashboard: Navigate to your Workspace list from the dashboard.
Select a Workspace: Click on the pencil/edit icon of the Workspace where you want to upload knowledge.
Step 3: Uploading Files to the Workspace
Click “Add Files”: Use the “Add files” button to upload documents such as PDFs, DOCX, or TXT files.
Wait for Confirmation: Files will show a “Pending” status at first. Once processed, they will update to “Trained” or “Failed.”
Re-upload if Necessary: If a file fails, try re-uploading it one at a time for best results.
Step 4: Add Instructions for AI Context (Important)
After uploading your files, scroll down and click “Add Instructions” in the same Workspace edit window.
Use this field to tell the AI how to use the uploaded files.
Be specific — e.g., “Use these documents to guide tone and format when drafting client emails,” or “Only reference these materials when summarizing product specs.”
This step ensures your AI behaves with better alignment to your goals.
Step 5: Put the Knowledge to Work
Chat within the Workspace: Any chats conducted inside this Workspace will now have access to the uploaded knowledge and instructions.
Observe and Tweak: If the AI isn’t referencing the documents correctly, check the instruction field or re-upload your knowledge files.
