ChatGPT Plugins were tools designed to add functionality to ChatGPT that isn’t natively built-in. They help ChatGPT access up-to-date information, run computations, or use third-party services.
Magai is interested in supporting ChatGPT Plugins to enhance the functionality and capabilities of our app. However, OpenAI has not given direct access to the ChatGPT plugin architecture to 3rd party developers. Additionally, OpenAI plans to phase out plugins altogether in the near future.
For Magai to add support for ChatGPT Plugins, OpenAI would need to release an API or other interface that allows third-party AI assistants to make use of the plugin system. Once OpenAI builds out and documents plugin support for ChatGPT, Magai will evaluate integrating it.
Our top priority is to ensure the safety and security of any external integrations or services that interact with Magai. We want to prevent potential harms, protect user privacy, and make sure functionality is carefully overseen.
In the meantime, Magai’s whole goal is to add functionality on top of the most powerful AI language models in a seamless and intuitive interface.
If and when OpenAI enables plugin access for competent third-party AI systems, Magai will move forward with adding support. Users can the Magai interface for future announcements on plugin integration plans.
